There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at LCS offices throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The list below shows just some of volunteer needs at our offices. For more information on volunteer needs in your area, contact the LCS office nearest you.
Boise 
Our Southern Idaho office is seeking:
Youth Mentors - Work with youth in local elementary and middle schools as part of the Project Venture youth asset development program.
Church/Community Liaisons - Help disseminate agency information and represent LCS in S. Idaho congregations and communities.
Fund-Raising & Events Volunteers - Help plan and organize the Children Are Our Flowers campaign, annual banquet and other fund-raising and community events.

Tacoma
LCS' South Puget Sound office needs volunteers for the following:
Clerical Support - Help with telephone answering, mailings, filing and other clerical tasks in Senior Media Services and the Senior Companion Program.
Instructors - Help train Senior Companions to serve disabled adults and seniors. Volunteers are needed to teach classes on Home Safety, Aging, Nutrition and other topics.
Meals on Wheels Drivers - Deliver frozen meals to homes in Pierce County. Meals are delivered on Fridays. Must have valid Washington drivers license, insurance and privately owned vehicle.
Senior Scene Drivers - Deliver the Senior Scene newspaper to distribution sites in Pierce County. Must have valid Washington drivers license, insurance and privately owned vehicle.
Gardener/Handyperson - Help with weeding, pruning and other miscellaneous tasks. No mowing. One-twice per week during growing season.

Portland / Vancouver
The Multicultural Community Services program welcomes volunteer help for the following programs:
HAWA - Empowering Refugee Women & Children Through Education
ESL Tutors - Provide in-home tutoring of English as a second language for refugee women.
Reading Tutors - Provide in-home reading tutoring for refugee children from limited English proficiency homes.
Job Skills Training - Help refugee women attending Head Start early childhood classes with their homework.

Homework Club Program
In-School Support - Provide help to refugee students during regular school hours.
After-School Support - Provide help to refugee children with after-school activities.
Homework Support - Provide help refugee children with in-home help with completing their homework.

MCS Sponsorship Program
Refugee Assistance - Help find housing, provide transportation, act as mentors, and solicit donations of furniture & appliances for in-coming refugee families.

Immigration Counseling Program
Clerical Support - Assist with clerical duties such as filing, copying, data entry and billing.

Multicultural Community Services - Vancouver
Foreign Language Resources - Provide expertise in languages such as Spanish, Vietnamese, Bosnian, Ukrainian, Russian, Farsi and Somali.
ESL Instructors - Help teach English as a Second Language relating to citizenship issues.
Technology Support - Provide computer, database and other technology-related support.
Clerical Support - Assist with clerical duties such as filing, typing and copying.
