Each local office of Lutheran
Community Services benefits from the guidance and support of a community-based
Advisory Committee or Area Council. These groups often include representatives
from both local congregations and the community at large. The key
roles of these groups are:
- Community & Church Relations
- Serving as an advocate for LCS and promoting LCS programs in
their local area
- Fund-raising - Helping to increase
local support for LCS by assisting with special events and other
fund-raising activities
- Program Development & Oversight
- Helping to ensure that LCS programs meet community needs
