NACCRRA’s Navy Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)

Respite Care Program
EFMP Respite Care helps Navy Families who have children with special needs by providing a few hours of respite care per month. The services allow parents temporary relief to attend appointments or gather some much-needed rest, without having to worry about the well being of their child. Eligible members receive up to 40 hours of respite care per month at no cost.

Eligibility requirements are:

The family is enrolled in the Navy’s EFMP
The EFM child is between the ages’ of birth to 18 and is category IV or V
You are stationed at one of the following Navy locations:
- Bremerton, Whidbey Island, Bangor, and Everett, WA
- Greater Washington DC
- Jacksonville, FL
- Norfolk,VA
- San Diego, CA
