Our Goal for You
We support military families stationed in Kitsap County Washington with referrals to high-quality child care outside military installations.
How to Search for Child Care
There are two ways to start a Child Care search:
For more information about NACCRA Subsidy and Military Programs please visit: http://www.naccrra.org/MilitaryPrograms/
In partnership with the Military Services and DoD, a variety of programs are administered by the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) to meet the unique childcare needs of military families: NACCRRA then contracts with LCSNW to bring the services down to the local level.
Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCIYN)
Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCIYN) supports military families with the cost of high quality childcare outside military installations. Military families of active duty (Army, Marine Corps and Navy) and active duty National Guard serving under Title 10 or Title 32 United States Code are eligible for this assistance. This program helps in locating high quality childcare options in local communities, subsidizes the cost of childcare, and provides a subsidy while a non-military spouse looks for work, works or attends school. Operation: Military Child Care (OMCC)
Operation: Military Child Care (OMCC) provides assistance for deployed active duty (Army, Marine Corps and Navy) and active duty National Guard (National Guard and Reserves) who are activated and deployed, whose children are enrolled in non DoD licensed programs. This program helps in locating licensed childcare options, reduces childcare fees through a subsidy, and provides a subsidy while a non-military spouse looks for work, works or goes to school. Members are eligible during their deployment period plus 60 days after their return. Follow this link for an electronic version of program brochure.
NACCRRA’s Navy Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
EFMP Respite Care helps Navy Families who have children with special needs by providing a few hours of respite care per month. The services allow parents temporary relief to attend appointments or gather some much-needed rest, without having to worry about the well being of their child. Eligible members receive up to 40 hours of respite care per month at no cost.
