Child Care Provider Information
Parent Line staff is trained to provide a variety of services, information, training and on-going support to licensed childcare providers and those individuals interested in becoming licensed. Last year alone, Parent Line offered 75 hours of STARS training and made many requested home visits to childcare providers for technical assistance.
Our goal is to provide a working partnership with providers in Clallam and Jefferson Counties by referring parents to their program and also providing technical services, training opportunities, mentorship's and supportive listening. Other services offered to licensed and about to be licensed providers include:
- Technical assistance with minimum licensing requirements
- Copy machine/computer/laminator
- Mentor
- Resource and Toy lending library
- Help with parent policies and diaster plan as required by the WAC
- Information on STARS, various subsidy programs, and community resources
- Information about current legislation and budget issues regarding childcare in Washington State
