Position:	Family Support Worker
Office:	Beaverton, Oregon
Description:	Duties: Provide parenting education, resources and support to first-time parents in Washington County. Strength-based approach to empowering families to employ positive parenting techniques and goal-setting. Involves being a member of a dynamic, busy team providing home visits, coordination of services with other providers and completing related paperwork. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Training and experience in the early childhood field or parenting education. Experience seeking out resources in Washington County also helpful. Must have sensitivity to families of varying ethnicity, language, and socioeconomic status and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged to apply. Basic computer skills needed. Use own vehicle for transportation to home visits, with insurance and liability standards. Employee is provided with mileage reimbursement.
