Nearly 300 guests packed the ballroom of the Pasco Red Lion Hotel for the 2011 LCS Columbia Basin Celebration Brunch & Auction on March 6th.  The event raised $60,000 to support Lutheran Community Services programs serving children and families in SE Washington and NE Oregon.

Friends of LCS came together to learn about and support the ministry of LCS in the Columbia Basin.  Guests enjoyed music by the John Crigler Jazz Duo, lively silent and live auction bidding, and a delicious Sunday Brunch buffet. 

Pr. Kristen Kuempel accepted the Wiseman Award for the 2010 LCS Volunteer of the Year recognition presented to Kennewick First Lutheran Church.  Congratulations, and thank you for your dedication to children and families served by our ministry! 

Our guest speaker, Patricia, shared a heartfelt story of how she and her family were helped by Lutheran Community Services, and the positive changes that have resulted in more peace and laughter in their home.
