It was all about partnership at the 2009 LCS Columbia Basin Celebration Brunch, held Sunday, March 8th, at the Red Lion Columbia Center Hotel in Kennewick. The event raised over $60,000 to support LCS programs in the Tri-Cities and Columbia Basin
The theme, “Woven Together”, emphasized the partnerships our agency shares with donors, volunteers, churches, businesses and organizations who help LCS make a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.
More than 300 friends of LCS came together to enjoy the music of jazz guitarist Doug Rice, lively silent and live auction bidding, and a bountiful Sunday brunch buffet. Pastor Dan Rieke was our lively and entertaining master of ceremonies
The afternoon’s program highlighted LCS’ family support programs. Carolyn Cox, from our 3 Rivers Wraparound program, described how LCS had helped her family find stability and hope. Sarah Ayers & Jim Rhodes were presented with the Wiseman Award for their outstanding volunteer service, commitment and dedication to LCS.
Thanks to our sponsors, table hosts, auction donors and all those who made pledges and gifts in support of LCS services for children and families. You helped make this year’s brunch our most successful ever! |
