Join LCS and the community in honoring the resilience and courage of refugees throughout the world by taking part in the 2nd Annual Footsteps to Freedom World Refugee Day Walk.

The 5K walk around the South Park Blocks will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Registration and check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.  A resource fair and music will follow the walk.

Registration is $20.00 ($10.00 for children 10 and under) and includes a T-shirt.  We invite members of the refugee community to walk for free.  Teams and individual sponsors are also encouraged to participate.

This event is co-sponsored by Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Catholic Charities and Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon/SOAR (Sponsors Organized to Assist Refugees).  Proceeds will benefit the agencies’ services to refugees.

You can register to walk on the day of the event, but pre-registration is encouraged

Join us for one of the best cycling events in Eastern Washington, touring scenic landscapes between Spokane, Medical Lake and Cheney.  Riders of all abilities have three routes to choose from - a leisurely 30-mile ride or challenging 50-mile or 80-mile treks!

Start/Finish Location
The Group Health Corporate Office, at the top of Sunset Hill, is our start/finish location. Snacks and beverages will be provided at rest stops along the route. Enjoy food and entertainment at the end of the trail with David’s Pizza serving up hot, fresh pizza from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Raise Pledges & Earn Prizes
There are great prizes for individuals raising pledges, every rider who raises $175 or more in pledges receives a limited edition 8-Lakes VOLER Long-Sleeve Jersey!

The proceeds from this ride play a crucial role in supporting the programs of Lutheran Community Services Northwest in the Inland Northwest.  Your participation or sponsorship of this event will help us continue to provide vital human services to our community.
