Saturday, June 8: June Bug Fun Run - Spokane
Join us for a 3 or 5 mile run/walk on a scenic course along the Spokane River! All proceeds benefit the vital programs of Lutheran Community Services NW.
For thousands of kids who are abused and neglected every day in Spokane, life isn’t much fun at all. June Bug is about giving these suffering kids a chance to grow into the strong, healthy people they are meant to become. No trauma, however violent or terrifying, can destroy the miracle of a child’s resiliency. Let’s Run Together For Strong, Healthy Kids!
Saturday, August 3: 15th Annual “8 Lakes Leg Aches Bike Ride”
Join over 1,000 riders for one of the best organized bike rides in Eastern Washington with riders enjoying the beautiful scenery of West Spokane, Cheney and Medical Lake. There are great prizes for those individuals raising pledges. Every rider who raises $185 or more in pledges receives a limited edition 8-Lakes Leg Aches Jersey! In addition, we offer great prizes! The more you raise, the better the prize! Click here to register online
All proceeds benefit the Sexual Assault & Family Trauma (SAFeT) Response Center at Lutheran Community Services Northwest. Revenue from the bike ride help us continue delivering the highest quality of service to our community, while not only providing on-going support, but also creating new opportunities of hope to those in our community who turn to our agency in their time of need. Annually, we serve over 3,300 children, individuals and families to provide healing, hope and justice to victims who experience violent trauma or sexual assault.
