Saturday, August 2, 2014: 16th Annual “8 Lakes Leg Aches Bike Ride”

Cover ArtCelebrate the joy of cycling with over 750 riders for one of the best cycling events in Eastern Washington, touring scenic landscapes between Spokane, Medical Lake and Cheney. Riders of all abilities have four routes to choose from - a leisurely 15-mile or 30-mile ride or challenging 45-mile or 75-mile treks!

There are great prizes for those individuals raising pledges. Every rider who raises $200 or more in pledges receives a limited edition 8-Lakes Leg Aches Long Sleeve Jersey! $300 or more in pledges receive a matching designer Vest.

All proceeds from this event directly benefit the Sexual Assault & Family Trauma (SAFeT) Response Center of Lutheran Community Services Northwest. Annually, we serve over 3,300 individuals to provide healing, hope and justice to victims who experience violent trauma or sexual assault.

Sunday, September 28th: North Puget Sound Brunch

Join us for good food and fellowship, and to show your support for the life-changing programs of LCS in the North Puget Sound area. This year’s brunch will be held in a new location, the Doubletree Suites – Southcenter in Tukwila. A social hour from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. will be followed by a brunch buffet and program. Our program will feature our new President & CEO, David Duea, Bishop Brian Kirby Unti of the Northwest Washington Synod, ELCA, and presentation of the Ruben Spannaus Award to Lisa and Bob Miller-Rhees for their outstanding community service.

Sunday, October 5th: Oregon/SW Washington Luncheon

Make plans to join us at the Downtown Portland Marriott Hotel for our annual fundraising event benefitting our programs in Oregon and SW Washington. A social hour will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by the lunch and program at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 18th: Southern Idaho Banquet

Be sure to mark your calendar for our annual banquet! Come help us celebrate at The Clubhouse Events Center, 7311 W. Potomac Drive in Boise. A social hour at 4:00 p.m. will kick off the evening, followed by dinner at 5:00 and a program at 6:00 highlighting LCS services in Southern Idaho.

November 2014

Sunday, November 2nd: Inland Northwest Luncheon

Mark your calendar and bring your friends to The Commons at Mukogawa Ft. George Wright for good food and fellowship, and learn more about LCS programs serving the Inland Northwest. A wine social at 12:30 p.m. will precede the 1:30 luncheon, entertainment and program.

Sunday, November 9th: Kitsap/Olympic Brunch

The Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton will again host our Sunday brunch supporting LCS services on the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. The afternoon’s activities begin with a 12:30 p.m. social hour, followed at 1:30 by a brunch buffet and program.
