Home The Vision The Project Project Update About LCS How To Help

Lutheran Community Services has launched a capital campaign to bring to reality a vision to broaden and expand services to communities in Washington’s South King and North Pierce Counties. The $7.3 million campaign will result in a new Community Services Building that will bring a number of needed services to this underserved region. Funding for this campaign is anticipated from the following sources: Charitable donations, $4,900,000; Government funding, $960,000; LATCH, $640,000; and the gift of the land from the ELCA, $800,000.

The site, located on S. 188th Street, near SeaTac Airport, will be called “The Village at Angle Lake”, will be the home of an intergenerational campus. Lutheran Alliance To Create Housing (LATCH) has begun construction of 80 units of affordable senior housing on the other half of the land and will open their doors in May, 2004.
