Home The Vision The Project Project Update About LCS How To Help
Home Helpers/Homecare

The Home Helpers program provides the necessary services that assist the elderly to remain living in their own home or apartment. With the presence of the 80-unit senior housing facility next door, and the demographics of south King county, serving this population will be a priority for LCS. Whether assisting individuals or couples with transportation, bill paying, basic housekeeping chores, or simply being a companion, the Home Helper makes the difference in someone’s being able to live independently.

Lutheran Community Services, through its history of services, is at the forefront in assuring that many people can remain living independently. Through Home Helpers providing in-home care and services necessary for independence, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Meals On Wheels, and Adult Respite day care centers, the agency provides expertise in caring for our senior population. This professional expertise will be brought to South King County through the development of Home Helper services at the new Community Services Building
