International Counseling
and Community Services

(Now Open)

International Counseling PhotoOver one hundred languages are spoken by people living in south King and north Pierce counties. International Counseling and Community Services (ICCS) addresses the unique needs of many of these residents by providing services at the Village at Angle Lake.

ICCS offers services to refugees, immigrants, and other clients with bi-cultural/bilingual needs. The staff of ICCS includes bilingual counselors and case managers, a cross-cultural psychiatrist, program assistant, teachers and volunteers. ICCS counseling staff are dedicated professionals who often share the culture and speak the language of many of their clients. They may share similar experiences and can thus better empathize with their clients.

The ICCS program at The Village at Angle Lake has offices for counseling, and a multi-cultural meeting/gathering room. On-site mental health counseling is available. In addition, community members may receive assistance with accessing necessary services, including health care, language classes, and employment.
