Family Resource Center
Creating, Connecting, and Shoring Up Resources for Families

The Family Resource Center is:

  • A dynamic community-based, strength-based program supporting the health and well-being of individuals and families through community partnerships.
  • A gathering place or “hub” of sorts where individuals, children, and families learn and grow, share support and information, connect and build friendships, access formal and informal resources, and together create a sense of community.
  • A grassroots program that fosters ownership and planning from the neighbors and community it serves.

Along with the Family Resource Center at The Village at Angle Lake, Lutheran Community Services manages five other Family Support Centers in King and Snohomish counties and is looked to as an advocate and leader in the development of these centers. The professional staff at LCS works with residents to strengthen the communities. This results in people working together to mobilize their talents and resources and build stronger, more closely-knit communities.
