The goal of Families for Kids is to help find and support families for abused and neglected children. We do this by providing free information on what it is like to be a foster and/or adoptive parent and support through the decision making and licensing process. Lutheran Community Services Northwest is our primary sponsor. Funding is generated through public and private contracts, grants and donations.

Mission and Strategies

The mission of Families for Kids is to provide foster and adoptive home recruitment services for children in Washington State. Initial questions about foster care and adoption are answered through a centralized call center. Trends and results are tracked through a recruitment database. Prospective families receive mentorship from experienced foster parents. Local and regional teams lead community-based recruitment efforts and campaigns.
